50's Housewife

 hey guys! yesterday was my friend's birthday party, so we all dressed up a little. i ended up wearing the dress my mom made me for my high school graduation. i'd never noticed that it was made in a 50s style:

sorry; all of the pics are all a little messed up. i messed around with exposure and contrast, trying to make them a little more bearable, but these were taken when i was supposed to be planning surprises. surprise parties make me feel sneaky. like a thief. i'm mostly running around through back entrances, stuffing things in my purse while other people are like "...wth...?" but it was fun; sort of like actually being in an adventure ;)

i know this outfit isn't particularly inspired, but sometimes simple can work, too. i tend to go crazy with prints and colors, but i guess we can do classy, too ;)

Prideful Wall

my friends and i painted the wall of our apartment last night; it ended up being DUKE blue! so exciting. yay for school pride 8) here are some pictures i took before i put everything back the way it was meant to be:

sorry the weekly post is late! haven't done clothes lately (too lazy to clean the mirror...) but i took some pretty pictures of trees this past friday! with my own camera ;)

i especially love the last picture. pass these trees on the way to class everyday; i am so blessed alhamdulillah.
